Our visits to San Juan were as pleasant as any other we have experienced on our Caribbean cruises.Īlthough Spanish is the preferred language, English was spoken by about 90 percent of the people with whom we had contact. The attractions, vibrant shopping, white beaches and aqua water make it attractive as a destination on its own. The city’s colonial history is a major attraction for cruise visitors.
